The Professional Crafters Guild

Hello everyone,

Today I renewed my membership of the Professional Crafters Guild, so I thought I would tell you a little more about it and what it means for me to be a member.

The PCG has the tag line “show the world you mean business”. It is an online community of artisans running small businesses.  As well as the regular exposure you get from being a Sapphire member, you have an online directory entry, and a whole host of other benefits.  To be honest, the thing that is most useful for me is the online workshops where we take part in anything from how to take better photographs to using twitter or facebook more effectively.

The online community is a fabulous place to find out what’s happening in the art and craft world, and if I have a problem, from sourcing an item to fixing a problem with my facebook account, it’s there I head to.  It was on the advice of this community that I chose my card reader to use at craft fairs.  We all have our own area of expertise and we share what we know, it’s just brilliant.

There are several categories of membership, but I would definitely recommended Sapphire as that give you access to all the benefits.   Every year there is an online Christmas craft fair, which is great fun.

Every year I look at memberships, shelf rentals, and the myriad other payments I make and review each in turn.  I ask is this beneficial to me?  Does it still fit my brand, and am I making money out of this?   The one payment I make year on year without question is my PCG membership.

I love the badges and certificates that I receive and each year I have the badge printed onto stickers to use as part of my packaging – what’s not to love :)

If you want to find out more have a look at https://www.procraftersguild.com, and if you would like to join The Professional Crafters Guild will offer all annbcrafts™ blog readers a discounted Sapphire membership. All you need to do is follow this link and write annbcrafts in the discount voucher field.    https://www.procraftersguild.com/membership-upgrade-form.html

I do hope you decide to join, it has really helped me take my small business to new heights. Next week I have some exciting new materials to show you and share some new techniques, that is if the plasters are off my fingers by then :)
